My husband follows my around the house

My husband has started back following me around the house. When I go into another room he gets up and starts looking for me. He was doing this a year ago and stopped because he was taking some agitation medicine and it interacted with a sleep medicine he was taking. At that time he did not recognize me as his wife. For about two months he was very agitated and was beginning to become uncontrollable with his behavior. When we realized that it was the medicine we got him on some new agitation medicine. Things has been going better around the house except the following has started back. I can handle the following around just wondering does anyone else have this going on.

My mom also follows my dad around the house. I think she feels secure being near my dad. When I visit, I try to keep my mom occupied to give my dad a break. She still asks about him and where he is. It reminds me of when my children were young. They would follow me everywhere and be underfoot.

If I am in the house my wife wants to be at my side. If another caregiver is here and I am also home she will often leave the caregiver and look for me. I have a very hard time just leaving her alone long enough to go to the bathroom. I simply cannot leave her alone long enough to shower, or do anything that takes more than about two minutes.

Bob you might have to shower when she is sleep.

I can't shower when she is asleep because I would wake her. Our shower is part of our master bedroom.
