I am a newcomer to the site, an 82 year old caring for my 84 year old husband with dementia. He seems to be at stage 5 dipping his toes into stage 6 and I am starting to consider memory care facilities. We have no children who can help with caregiving and I would like to make provisions to protect him before I become sick or am injured. I. live in the Louisville area and so far all of the facilities I have found seem to be large facilities owned by out of state corporations. If there is anyone who is aware of locally owned smaller facilities in Louisville or knows how I could locate them, I would really appreciate any information you could share.
