Caretakers of family member's with Cancer

Just wondering if there are any members in the forum that are caring for family members who are disabled due to cancer and/or cancer treatment. There isn't a category for it so I just wanted to ask. If not currently, has anyone been a caretaker for someone with cancer?

I was a caregiver for my mom that had a brain tumor that was inoperable. They found it August 1996 and she passed January 1997 at my home. I am the only daughter and 2 brothers lived out of town. I was working had a husband and two small children. I had someone to care for when I went to work and I took care of her at night. That was my first experience with caregiving. She did not want to go into a nursing home so I did for her what I know she would have done for me.

I'm currently the caregiving for my father who is 65 and was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive cancer - adrenocortical carcinoma. What type of cancer do you care for and what does treatment look like for your loved one?

SarahC My husband, age 61, has metastasize melanoma brain tumors. They have been treated and stable currently. Brain damage from treatment has been the issue with mobility and speech.
