I am blessed that, for the most past, my wife sleeps through the night. I say blessed for a couple of reasons. One is it lets me go into high gear doing things that need to be done (meal prep, dishes, laundry, emails, this forum, bill paying, etc.) as soon as she falls asleep (usually around 9-10 pm). I crawl into bed around 1 am. She does get up at times and needs to go to the bathroom and I always seem to wake at the same time so that I can take her, but then she usually goes right back to sleep. On rare occasions, like today, she got up early (8am), was agitated and refused to go back to bed in our bedroom, but went and laid down on the couch in our garden room and slept for two hours. As I've indicated elsewhere, our new normal seems to be there really is no normal. fyi...she is on medication four times a day, and it is known that one or more of them causes the patient to be sleepy, so this is likely part of the scenario regarding her sleep habits.
