There are so many family caregivers who had to quit their full-time jobs to care for a family member. There a so many that do it at a loss to their own future financial security. Does anyone know what organizations are advocating for the caretaker tax credits on the state or national level? The state of WI has a bill somewhere but I don't know how to find who proposed it and who to contact to advocate for it. I reached out to AARP at the state level and got no response. At the national level, are there any proposals that would issue a federal tax credit for family caregivers? If you know of a proposal, can you say who sponsored it and provide how to find it?
